Japanese lessons · online & in person

Learn Japanese with your whole body.

Most people quit Japanese because it stays on paper. Here you catch, move, say and use it — so it stays in your body, not in your notebook. For anyone learning Japanese, and for people already living in Japan.

Katakana Catch

Katakana is the first wall. シ and ツ, ソ and ン — they refuse to stay apart on paper. So stand up: the letters fall, and you catch the right one with your hands, your head, your feet. Your camera never sends anything anywhere.

Why this is not another textbook course

Three things you will not get from an app or a grammar book.

🕺

Rhythm, not memorising

I am a dancer. Verb forms, pitch accent and long vowels are rhythm problems, and rhythm is learned by moving — not by staring at a chart.

🩺

The Japanese of the body

I also work as a bodyworker. 肩がこる, 腰が痛い, だるい — the words you need at a clinic, a pharmacy or a job in care. Almost no course teaches them.

Onomatopoeia, properly

ぴかぴか, どきどき, ふわっと. Japanese people use these all day and no dictionary can explain them. I can show them with my body until you feel the difference.

Who is teaching you

I am Eisaku — a native Japanese speaker, a breakdancer, a bodyworker, and someone who builds small strange apps like the one on this page.

I am not a school. There is no curriculum I have to follow. The lesson bends to you.
